There is a debate on if this is the easiest house plant or the hardest. Some of the common problems that can affect this plant, are lack of humidity and it being too cold.
Loves warm and sunny location.
Water weekly in the summer, as the Aralia likes moist soil during the growing season. In the winter time you can cut back. The bigger thing is the humidity, Aralias like high humidity, so if you cannot provide a humidifier, then put your plant on a pebble trey.
Grown best in fertile soil. Fertilize once a month, to maximize growth.
DOES IT FLOWER?
IS IT POISONOUS/TOXIC?
CAN IT BE PROPAGATED FROM CUTTINGS?
Yes through cuttings, that you dip in rooting hormone and place into soil. It is not an easy plant to propagate, so you may experience some failed cuttings before one takes.
Aralias hate cold or dry air, and can begin to drop leaves during this time, which will shock the plant. Make sure that the Aralia is in a warm spot in your home. If your plant does drop all of its leaves, move it outside once spring is underway and it should leaf out again with the sun / Common Pests: The Aralia Fabian can be prone to the typical pest culprits, so keep an eye out.
WINTER TRAVEL: PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PURCHASE A HEAT-PACK (FOUND WITHIN OUR STORE) IF THE PLANT IS TRAVELING IN BELOW 50 DEGREE WEATHER.
