CLASSIFICATION / GENUS:
Araceae / Philodendron
COMMON NAMES:
Philodendron Narrow Leaf / Philodendron Jungle Boogie

Leaves can get 2-3 feet long. The totem is for it to eventually grab onto and grow upward.
COLD HARDINESS:
This plant does not like cold, its ideal temperature is between 55-75 degrees F.
MAINTENANCE:
Low Maintenance
LIGHT:
The Jungle Boogie prefers bright indirect light. They do not like direct sun on their leaves, as they do not have the typical protective waxy coating that is found on leaves, and so are more susceptible to sun scorch.
WATERING:
These plants are found in the jungles underneath canopy, they like their soil semi moist.
SOIL:
Well draining soil is great. Use a mix of potting soil (or coir), perlite, charcoal, and orchid bark.
DOES IT FLOWER?
Surprisingly yes, though it can be rare.
IS IT POISONOUS/TOXIC?
Yes! This plant is considered toxic to animals and children. So if you have either that like to chew on things you may want to place these up on high.
CAN IT BE PROPAGATED FROM CUTTINGS?
Yes! These are very easy to propagate, simply cut where a node is on the plant, best if there are already 2-3 leaves attached to it. You can then either put it into water until a root forms, or dip into rooting powder and plant into soil.
POSSIBLE ISSUES:
Common pests: Spider mites. / Other common ailments: Leaf spots, fungal spots, bacterial rot.

WINTER TRAVEL: PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PURCHASE A HEAT-PACK (FOUND WITHIN OUR STORE) IF THE PLANT IS TRAVELING IN BELOW 50 DEGREE WEATHER.
