+ Comes in a 4" plastic container.
A new 2020 philodendron cultivar.
CLASSIFICATION / GENUS:
Araceae / Philodendron
Philodendron Mia / Green Philodendron
This is a new cultivar as of 2020, so not much information on its ultimate size is known as it is currently only offered in 4" pots
This plant does not like cold, its ideal temperature is between 55-75 degrees F, but be forewarned drops below the 50s can result in cold shock to this plant (if this happens you will see black on the leaves, and they will curl up). It should also be noted that they are heat sensitive as well, and can start to wilt their leaves if the temps go into the 80s.
Philodendrons prefer bright indirect light. They do not like direct sun on their leaves, as this can lead to scorching of the leaves.
They prefer moist, but not soggy soil. Water once a week, if using a terracotta pot, check to make sure the soil has not completely dried out as the terracotta can wick away excess water that may be beneficial to a philodendron. If this is the case, increase your watering habits to 1-2 times a week. Never let completely dry out, and never let it sit in soggy soil
Well draining soil is great. Use a mix of potting soil (or coir), perlite, charcoal, and orchid bark.
