The design of the Glenhaven residence focused on creating an architectural folded plane that acted as a visual telescope to it's natural setting within the hills of Los Angeles, overlooking the sea beyond. The use of dark textural materials was used to offset the beautiful blue of the sky, which was accomplished by merging metal, Trespa, and Swisspearl panels. The interior was designed for maximum flow between the indoors and outdoors, allowing the viewer from the entrance to literally see through the house, to the sky and sea beyond. Linear lines were intentionally carried throughout the exterior design and the interior design to continuously create a line of site.
