Jesse designed this space alongside the London Tom Dixon Team while at Abramson Teiger Architects. The Shop was designed as Tom Dixon's flagship store in Los Angeles.
As this was a ground up store, it was imperative that height be brought to the space for the display of lights, while still seeking to use material in new and interesting ways. Marble stairway encasements, that gave the impression that marble was floating above one's head (hint: the ceiling was specially painted to resemble marble); steel that had a patina applied to it to mimic Tom Dixon's metal esthetic; living moss walls to contradict harsh elements of concrete, but more importantly, showcasing the signature collection of the lighting fixtures that Tom Dixon is known for, this required specialized and highly involved lighting track plans, so that light clusters could be moved throughout the space.
